We are a growing organization of “underdog” enthusiasts hoping to save as many of our visually impaired equine friends as possible and support those who care for them.
We are an organization meant to bring awareness and education to the equine industry proving that blind and visually impaired horses can and do thrive. That with proper rehabilitation, guidance, training, patience, and support these now considered dangerous or unpredictable horses can go on to do many jobs and lead happy, healthy, and safe lives. Through our own experiences and the many success stories shared with us, our goal is to offer a safe community of support for any and all who are faced with equine vision impairments.
Being part of The Blind Horse Project has brought a sense of community and friendship to my journey through blindness with my OTTB. I feel seen, heard and felt within this community and am proud to say my OTTB and I are a part of something very special.

I love being able to spread awareness about our blind horses and having fun while doing it! This entire project has really taught me so much and I'm still learning something new every day!
